Wellmont Academy is seeking dependable, Christ-centered substitute teachers to join our team. Our substitute teachers play an important role in maintaining a positive, engaging, and academically focused learning environment while supporting students in their educational and spiritual growth.

Responsibilities

• Implement lesson plans and instructions provided by the classroom teacher
• Maintain a positive, orderly, and productive classroom environment
• Supervise students throughout the school day, including transitions and designated activities
• Encourage student engagement and participation in learning
• Uphold Wellmont Academy’s Christian values, policies, and expectations
• Communicate effectively with school administration regarding classroom needs or concerns
• Leave the classroom organized and prepared for the teacher’s return

Qualifications

• A personal commitment to Christian faith and values
• A heart for working with children and adolescents
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Flexibility, professionalism, and reliability
• Ability to follow lesson plans and maintain continuity of instruction
• Previous teaching, tutoring, childcare, youth ministry, or educational experience preferred

Schedule

Substitute opportunities are available throughout the school year on an as-needed basis. Assignments may range from a single class period to multiple consecutive days.
