Warrior Athletics and Fine Arts
Wellmont Academy is excited to launch our NEW Warriors Athletic Program beginning Fall 2027! Our growing athletics program will give students more opportunities to compete, build character, develop teamwork, and represent Wellmont as Warriors. As the program grows, we look forward to expanding our offerings to include additional high school varsity sports in the years ahead.
Little Warrior Club is optional and is for K-2nd grade students. Students are trained and practice various individual and team sports for enrichment. Little Warrior Club meets after school once per week. Sign ups are per quarter. Fees are located on our tuition and fees page.
Junior Warrior Club is optional and is for 3-5th graders. Students are trained and practice various individual and team sports for enrichment. Junior Warrior Club meets after school once per week. Sign ups are per quarter. Fees are located on our tuition and fees page.
Warrior Team Athletics are optional for 6-8th graders. Each sport meets 5 days per week after school and involvement is highly encouraged. Fees are located on our tuition and fees page. Seasons are below for each sport.

Fine Arts
Music, Art, Drama
Elementary music covers fundamental music theory, teaching the value of phrasing, pitch, and cohesive sound, not just notes, intervals rhythms and in an introduction to various instruments.
Through drawing, painting, and imaginative projects, students develop fine motor skills, problem-solving abilities, and confidence in expressing their ideas.
7-12th graders have opportunities to participate in our after school Encore program, where we teach group piano, guitar, theater, and song writing!
Additionally, students in grades 7-12 may audition to participate in our Christmas Production and our Coffee House. Rehearsals for these two productions take place during the day and after school as needed.
7-12th grade drawing and watercolor classes focus on refining artistic techniques and deepening their understanding of composition, perspective, and color use. Students learn advanced techniques such as shading, proportion, and the use of light to create depth, honing their observational skills. Watercolor classes teach students how to control the fluidity of paint, explore layering techniques, and experiment with color blending to create dynamic and expressive artwork.
Drama opportunities are available for our Fall production each year as well as school Coffee Houses . Tryouts are required and involvement is varied per year.
