Wellmont Academy is expanding.
Come grow with us.
We have been called to make an impact in our community by offering our unique model of hybrid education that is family-focused and Christ-centered.
Our future vision for Wellmont is to provide FHSAA competitive sports and high quality fine arts programs that exceed traditional educational platforms within the confines of our own property.
Our sports program will require an athletic director, more coaches, a property with fields and courts, and the addition of school vans to transport students to and from games/meets. Our goal is to have our FHSAA program up and running by Fall 2025.
Our fine arts program continues the 12 year tradition of our Wellmont Thespian Society, as well as art and music classes. Our Thespian program, as well as our current Christmas music productions currently require regular usage of an auditorium (with sound, lights, and rigging) that seats 300. We are able to work around the scheduling of landlords, but it is a challenge for both parties. The reality is that we need an auditorium space that we can use 5 days per week, during the year and in the summer.
Academics and administration continue to thrive at Wellmont, and it's no secret...we need more space! We are bringing in much needed Academic Resource staff, as well as adding and dividing additional classes, our Barton tutoring program is growing, and we would very much like to open our own Christian Montessori pre-school. We are already forced to place children on waiting lists each semester because of a lack of space, and the Pandemic has accentuated this need for more classroom and office space.
Wellmont Academy's next big step is to purchase our own property.
We must meet the needs of our growing sports and fine arts programs, academics, and administration needs. We have proven that our program is sustainable, even through a Pandemic, but our vision and growth in all areas is limited by occupying shared space.
Tuition at Wellmont is enough to support our operating costs, but we need you to help us build the legacy of Wellmont Academy.
Our goal is to raise 3 million dollars towards the purchase and development of a new property as soon as possible. Please join us in building the legacy of Wellmont Academy by donating to our Expansion Fund today.
When you give to Wellmont Academy, you can choose to help with current operational costs by giving to our General Fund or your can contribute to expansion by giving to the Expansion Fund.
Together, we are building Wellmont Academy, the Leader in Hybrid Education.
